For sale here is a 3" plate wind fly reel from Chris Henshaw. A beautiful replica of the earliest all-aluminum contracted Perfect, Featuring a bright aluminum frame & spool with brass spindle and smooth alloy foot. Strap-over tensioner works as intended and the reel is fitted with a wonderfully crisp 1896 check mechanism. LHW only. Stamped internally "CH 001" on the winding plate and the frame. The pillars are ventilated, and the spool width is 0.55". The reel has a few small nicks/scratches from use but remains in excellent condition. The nickel silver retaining screw is reverse threaded and has just a hint of peeling/buggering. Weight is 6.28oz. It looks like a good size for 4wt fishing (+/-). A nicely executed rendition of one of the earliest narrow drum Hardy Perfect designs
